Amdocs Limited has announced the retirement of its President and CEO Dov Baharav, slated for the first quarter of calendar 2011. Baharav will also resign as a director of the company upon retirement.
Baharav will be succeeded by Eli Gelman, a current director of Amdocs Limited who is also its former Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
Baharav has been with Amdocs for two decades, service the last eight as CEO. Bruce Anderson, Chairman of the Board said, "His contributions to the firm cannot be overstated."
Gelman, who will succeed Baharav, has over 30 years of experience in the software industry, with more than 20 of those years with Amdocs. At Amdocs, Gelman has served as Executive Vice President from 2002 until 2007 and as COO from October 2006 until April 2008. He also serves on the Amdocs Board of Directors, including active participation on its Technology Committee, and has served as Chairman of the Board of Retalix, since January 2010.
