Autodesk reports financials for first quarter of fiscal 2011 |

Autodesk has reported its financial results for the first quarter of fiscal 2011. For the first quarter of fiscal 2011, Autodesk's revenue was $475 million, increasing four percent sequentially and 11 percent as compared to the first quarter of fiscal 2010. GAAP operating margin was 11 percent, down from 12 percent in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2010 and an increase from negative 5 percent in the first quarter last year. Diluted earnings per share (EPS) were $0.16 as compared to diluted earnings per share of $0.21 in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2010, and diluted loss per share of $0.14 in the first quarter of fiscal 2010. Cash flow from operations was $139 million, an increase of 11 percent sequentially and 411 percent as compared to the first quarter of fiscal 2010. In its guidance for the second quarter of fiscal 2011, Autodesk said it expects net revenue to be in the range of $435 million and $460 million, and anticipates earnings per diluted share in the range of $0.12 and $0.17.
