Citrix invests in Core Mobile Networks for advancing the mobile cloud |

Citrix has invested in Core Mobile Networks, Inc., making its third funding commitment through its Startup Accelerator seed investment initiative that started in December 2010.  Core Mobile Networks “mobilizes the cloud” by correlating information from enterprise IT systems with content in the cloud, and delivering it to mobile devices in real time with far more contextual relevance. Core Mobile will initially target mobile business professionals using the Apple iPhone and Android-based smartphone platforms, Citrix said in a statement.Founded in 2008, Core Mobile Networks intends to mobilize the cloud by real time delivery of correlated content from cloud and enterprise IT systems to mobile devices like smartphones and tablets. The company has a patent pending engine that determines context based subset of content obtained by correlation of multiple sources in the cloud and pushing it to mobile devices. This softwrae as a service offering (SaaS) is targeted at field sales professionals, field service professionals, truckers, physicians, airline passengers and pharmaceutical industry professionals. |
