CSC said that it has been awarded the Department of Defense contract to provide information technology help desk services to the Department of Defense Dependents Schools-Europe (DoDDS-E). The contract has a one-year base period and four one-year options, notching up the estimated total five-year value of the contract to $27 million.
 CSC provides technology-enabled solutions and services through three primary lines of business, which include Business Solutions and Services, the Managed Services Sector and the North American Public Sector. Headquartered in Falls Church, Va., CSC has around 92,000 employees, with reported revenues of $16 billion for the 12 months ended Jan. 1, 2010. The company ranks fourth on the Services Top 100 list, which ranks IT services companies on the basis of relevant revenues in the last calendar year.
DoDDS-E provides instruction to more than 35,000 school-age children of active duty military and civilian employees across 81 schools located in Portugal, Bahrain, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Turkey and the United Kingdom. Under the terms of the contract, CSC will provide information technology management services and support throughout Europe, including system and network administration and software development support. CSC currently performs the same work on another contract with DoDDS – Pacific. |
