CSC has said that it has agreed to acquire Bass & Company, a privately-owned strategy and operations consulting firm providing services to electric, gas and water utilities. The acquisition will enable CSC to better serve global utilities clients and also support CSC's strategic industry growth plan to expand the company's presence in the chemical, energy and natural resources markets. CSC's Chemical, Energy and Natural Resources Group serves utility, chemical, petroleum and natural resources companies worldwide.
CSC expects the transaction to close by the end of the month. The company did not reveal the financial terms of the acquisition.
Bass & Company has a group of senior industry consultants accomplished in the fields of ‘smart utility,’ revenue cycle management/utility billing and collections, energy efficiency, and distribution processes and technology. It also has an impressive client list spanning the US and Europe that provides CSC an immediate opportunity to expand its business in the global utilities industry. CSC said that Bass & Company’s CEO Mike Bassignani would lead its Utilities Division. |
