Raytheon has acquired Technology Associates Inc., a privately held company that delivers full life-cycle computer engineering to mission-critical programs in the US intelligence community. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Technology Associates' capabilities include data extraction and analysis; digital media intercept and exploitation; embedded system programming; and information assurance services. The Reston, Va. headquartered firm was established in 1990, has 110 employees, and will become a part of Raytheon's Intelligence and Information Systems (IIS) business. Company president Preston Harrelle will join Raytheon and would continue to lead business operations while taking on a broader cyber strategy role across the Information Security Solutions (ISS) product line, Raytheon’s statement said.
Raytheon did not foresee any material impact on its sales or earnings per share for the quarter and all of fiscal 2010. |
