Virtualization and cloud infrastructure company VMware, Inc. has announced a series of technology collaborations with Google. The collaboration aims to deliver solutions will allow enterprise software developers to be more efficient at building, deploying and managing applications within any cloud environment, be it public, private and hybrid.
The collaboration was announced on stage at the Google I/O conference in San Francisco by Paul Maritz, president and CEO of Vmware. He said the economic advantages of cloud computing make it attractive to business agility and innovation, making companies look actively to move towards it.
VMware and Google will collaborate on multiple fronts, with projects enabling Java developers to build rich web applications using Google and VMware performance tools on cloud apps, and deployments of Spring Java applications on Google App Engine. |
