Wincor Nixdorf posts subdued performance |
Wincor Nixdorf AG has reported subdued results for its third quarter and the first nine months of the current fiscal.
 During the third quarter, net sales for the Group rose five percent to €521 million from €496 million a year ago. EBITA fell six percent to €33 million from €35 million.
During the first nine months, net sales reduced three percent to €1,682 million against the previous year's €1,729 million. EBITA declined 12 percent to €121 million, and profit for the period was down eight percent to €80 million from last year's €87 million. Net sales attributable to the Hardware business contracted by 10 percent year on year to €856 million, while those from Software/Services increased by seven percent to €826 million from €773 million a year ago.
Wincor Nixdorf confirmed its outlook for the fiscal year as a whole, saying net sales and operating profit will again contract, but by no more than the decline recorded a year ago. Company President & CEO Eckard Heidloff said he anticipated further reductions up to a maximum of three percent in net sales and 13 percent in operating profit.
