Wipro Technologies has said that its Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) division has partnered with Microsoft to provide global Legal Process Outsourcing (LPO) for the latter's Intellectual Property (IP) portfolio.
Wipro had started providing US Patent and Trademark filing and docketing services to the Microsoft's Intellectual Property and Licensing Group back in July 2008. Previously, Microsoft had been using a mix of in house resources, outside law firms and offshore vendors to perform these IP services. Going forward, Wipro said it would deliver efficiencies and consistency to Microsoft for the LPO services.
While Microsoft lead domain training for Wipro’s team, Wipro developed the LPO framework, tools, trainings, controls and metrics needed for productivity and reduced costs. |
