Activision Blizzard develops and publishes video games. Activision Blizzard is the American holding company for Activision and Blizzard Entertainment, majority owned by French corporation Vivendi SA. The company is the result of a merger between Activision and Vivendi Games in 2008, a deal worth US$18.8 billion. Well known games the company publishes include Guitar Hero, Call of Duty and World of Warcraft. The merger made Activision Blizzard one of the fastest growing software companies of the Software Top 100. In 2009, Activision Blizzard was the second largest video game company in the world.
